Gull Lake

Located in Barry and Kalamazoo Counties, Michigan

Gull Lake is a 2,030-acre lake located between Battle Creek and Kalamazoo, Michigan. It is 16 miles northeast of downtown Kalamazoo and 15 miles northwest of downtown Battle Creek. The closest location for emergency care is Bronson Battle Creek Hospital, 15 miles southeast. The Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport is 19 miles southwest.

Large Lake Livin’

Gull Lake is one of the better-known lakes in the southeastern Michigan area. Besides its crystal clear water, which is perfect for swimming, this all-sports paradise is a solid choice for a range of activities like wakeboarding, waterskiing, kayaking, sailing, or fishing. Anglers can expect to catch bluegill, largemouth bass, northern pike, rainbow trout, rock bass, yellow perch, and smallmouth bass. Before you head out onto the water, bring your tank and flippers, as the clarity of Gull Lake makes it a popular spot for diving.

Less than 20 miles north of the lake is the Barry State Game Area. Not only can you hunt for turkey and deer, but you can also utilize the snowmobile/hiking trails and watch birds! The Gilmore Car Museum is only seven miles south. This is a must-see for anyone in the family who loves classic automobiles. You can explore 400 different cars and motorcycles and grab a bite to eat at the restored 1941 diner. After a long day outdoors, grab a bite to eat at one of many nearby restaurants. The Air Zoo Aerospace & Science Museum has been voted the "Best Place to Take Out-of-Towners" and "Best Place to Spend a Day with Your Family," making it a must-see. It features more than 100 air and space artifacts, rides, Full-Motion Flight Simulators, a theater, historical exhibits, and educational activities.
